Thanks, I had 23 pitch mirage props but I need to go to 25's. At 4500 rpm, I was running 54.9 mph with 3 people and 100 gallons of fuel. It wants to chine walk above 55 mph. I will be tweaking it and try it again in a few days.

What's your top speed? I was hoping to reach 70 mph but I have to wait for my props to get here. I will post a video once everything is straightened out.

OK. The tach pegged out at 6000 rpm with the 23's. Might try to lower the engines one hole and try the new 25's. I have no idea what mine weighs, but it is definately stern heavy even with 100 gallons of fuel in the bow area. It holds 150 gallons. It sits with the aft chines just above the water with no one in it. I believe the weight in the stern contributes to the chine walk effect. No doubt about it though, a dive boat passed by us with a 3-4 wake and I hit it at about 40 mph. No spray or pounding. I was surprised how it landed so smoothly. I think we both own one of the best hulls ever made. Thanks for the input.   Stanley

capt.  thanks for sharing the rebuild with the twins.  i have long wondered how much weight these hulls could carry back there and still stay trimmed. my '79 has a single 225 but the max i was thinking was a pair of 150's bet then again 70mph would never be in my plans.  nice work!

Resurrecting an old post here.  I am curious if you ever tried other props.  I have tested Bravo, Rev4, & Mirage + w/ mine, w/ the best being Mirage+.  I like Rev4's, but had a lot of chine walk at upper 50's.  Mirage+ 21's will run 57 steady as can be.  The next test set will be Tempest+ 23p's.  I think with all the rocker in this hull, it likes a bow lifting prop & keep the stern seated down.
