255 Liberator Restoration Photos.

Well the re power phase of this project is almost complete. I took the 255 down to Ft. Lauderdale today where the engines and drives are to get them installed in the boat. When it comes home it will be sea worthy and ready to go boating.

These pics show some of the process of re working the bilge to receive the Bravo Transom Assemblies, Bravo I Drives and the new Twin 400 horse/435# ft lb torque Vortec Roller Cam 355 SBC's.

The next phase will be new cockpit with McLeod Bolsters , Custom instrument cluster with all new gauges along with a built in chart recorder/GPS and new cabin lay out.

At least now with the all new power and drives I can use and enjoy the boat while the remaining phases are completed. I will soon have all the mechanical systems complete and will not risk damaging the new Cockpit/Cabin Upholstery doing heavy mechanical work.
