Hi Dave, this was a freebee, My son is a aluminium fabricator/ boilermaker. But there was about 1 days work to cut and tack weld the pod for both of us as well as material costs. My son says approx $2000 to supply completed.

Hi Dave, thanks for the positive comments. We went with a pod to try and preserve deck space as well as not interfering with the orginal hull integerty, especially when we intend to fit twin 200's. Also the space where the orginal inboards lived will be very handy for under floor storage. having said that i think you will be very pleased with yours when it's finished. We wanted our boat ot be a bit different thats why we also built the cab to have 3 front windscreen panels instead of the normal 2. Anyway good luck with it all and keep the posts coming. Regards, Brian.

Yes Dave, I feel pretty lucky to have such a clever son. It will take about another 3 months or so for us to get the boat into the water plus about another $10,000. for electronics, seating, steering, window glass, safeties and all the other little things that you need to buy, but will be worth the wait. Take care and keep in touch if you want.
