We bought it used from a guy that took it fishing here in California at Catalina Island all the time. Now we use it as a family boat at a local lake. We love this boat!! Great for fishing and feels very safe. The high profile of the boat makes it very sea worthy. Never knew all the history behind the boat prior to purchasing her, but have even more appreciation for the vessel now. We plan on bringing her back to her original luster. My dad and son will be enjoying her for many years to come. We have started with the Teak stripping the many years of Varnish off and bleaching it and using Teak oil on all areas. Really happy with the look. We just added a Scotty down-rigger and Trolling motor to the kicker bracket. We also had a canvas made and reupholstered the cuddy cushions. We also added audio system with speaker, the 24" Samsung mounted in cabin with DVD player is the next project. We dock her at the lake from May till January every year for fast access to fun. There are many more ideas we have for her including a Rocket launcher that attaches to the Bimini top for fishing rods. Mechanically it needs help as well, Our Maxwell windlass stop working this Summer and we are having trouble with the shifting cant seem to find Neutral with it. We replaced the intermediate cable and rebuilt the accelerator pump on the carb. The shifting is firm but i think is out of adjustment or something. Makes docking very challenging to say the least. Hopefully this will be fixed by this April. If anybody has had a similar problem with the shifting let me know what you think.
