Gil,
I have not delt with setback brackets for this boat. I personally have a 350 Merc with a bravo stern drive. I researched and found another forum with:
"I just got this engine and have some numbers after 6 hours of run time. I am using a Suzuki SS 16' x 21.5P prop. The boat is a old 1970 formula 233 converted to a bracket OB from a IO. 29" setback with the anti cav plate set about 4" above the bottom of the boat. I dont think I can run this engine any higher without affecting turning and hold on grip. ANyway my WOT speed with full fuel, 100 gal, 2 people and gear per GPS is 47.5 at 5900 rpms pulling 21 gph. My 4000 rpm cruise is 29/30 mph and 9.0 to 9.5 gph. I have to do a lot of trimming to get the top speed and rpm and im just shy of cavitation. If I leave it at normal to just elavated trim I cant get but 5500 rpms and 43 mph. This is a old pic with the 2 stroke 225."
I have 3 Formula 233's all with inboards.
Hope this helps,
