- I know the original owner, he bought the Haines Hunter V233 in 1974 whilst living in Lae, Papua New Guinea. Originally powered by twin Volvo 170Hp petrols (gas) with Volvo 280 Legs. In 1980 he fitted twin Chrysler 180Hp petrols with Chrysler legs.
The boat moved through 3 more owners before I bought her in a wrecked state in Wewak, PNG with twin Yamaha 115 4 strokes.
In that time the second owner fitted a single Volvo 200Hp diesel with Volvo leg.
I shipped her to Brisbane Australia in late 2020.
From mid 2020 through to June 2022 I had her completely stripped and rebuilt by James Kistemaker at Gold Coast City Marina.
She has to be near as to one of the flashest Haines Hunter V233's in Australia!
