Formula 233 Registry

The premier site for owners of the famous 233.

Just purchased my first 233 from Perth . I bought it site unseen and was told it was a 89 haines.  Obviously not. Got a great price, so not to fazed. Im thinking mid 70's, but built by who, that I would love to Know. Did Formula boats build these in Australia. The decal is original. Any help would/experience would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info.  Its great to know some history. What sort of engine did it have in it while you had. I think it got repowered in 89 with a 7.4. Am planning a full refurb over the coming months (which will include a change of name), so will keep you updated.

Regards Simon

Cheers Nick, About to start a full refurb, so may have to call on your expertise at some stage. I live on the east coast and had the boat transported over. Had it out a few times and love the way it handles.
