Formula 233 Registry

The premier site for owners of the famous 233.

First of all, Hello! everybody. I bought a 1972 T-Bird Formula 2 years ago, I love this boat, so much that I am buying a second one. Same year, same model. Anyway, is there anyone on the forum from Texas? I am in the Beaumont area and I am looking for a good boat tech. I am going to restore my first 233 and am looking for a good company to do the restoration.

Good morning!

I want to take a moment to welcome you to the F233 site!  I personally have been swamped with work and other unexpected setbacks (German-engineered cars for example!), so I have not had the time to spend either on this site or on my own project!  That being said, I would love to see some photographs of your project boats.  I am not in Texas but am in California where there are a few F233's floating around.  For that reason, I cannot recommend any shops which could assist with your restoration needs.  (Personally, I prefer a "Hands-on" approach so I am doing the work on my boat myself.)

What types of information are you looking for?  Are you looking for a good quality fiberglass shop, or someone who is a MerCruiser/Mercury or OMC service technician??  If you could, please provide a little more information and details about what it is that you wish to have completed.

Again, welcome to the boards and keep us up to date with your progress and the things you have learned along the way!  (I have learned a TON about these boats by digging into mine; some good, some not so good!)  Regardless, there are a lot of people on here who have a lot of knowledge and can help direct you with your projects.  Good luck and stay in touch!

Henry
