Hi Rob,  The first prop I put on was to steep 16.5 X 19",  4 Blade Powertech.  It ran great and topped out near 48 kts but when the boat was loaded with people and fish the rpm's dropped down to 4950.  I just swapped my prop at PowerTech for the 17" model,  but I have not tested it yet.  I would imagine my top end will come down a few kts but the boat will act more nimble.

Love that big V-8.  It is just laughing moving the almost 3 tons around has great mid-range with lots of torque.

Any other questions just let me know.

Rick

Thanks for info.  Did you ever sea trial "before" you had your top installed?  Love your top but was curious as to the impact on performance due to added weight and wind resistance.  Also you said the top was built in the states.  Can I ask from whom?  I live in Florida.  Thanks again.  By the way, my brother is Rick who recently posted his boat going from Red to Black.  Your boat inspired him to change color after 23 years.

Hi rob just recieved your message. What would u like to know about the project??
I'm currently running the 275 verado and I'm very happy with the current set up. And performance I would of love to twin rigg the boat and think that set up would of made it a absolute weapon.
Im setting the boat up for sports fishing and have installed a Bimini and rocket launcher. 18" out riggers and fully loaded with 4 fat ozzys eskys beer etc she will pull 40kts @ 6000rpm and fuel consumption 110lph
Slow her down a little to a comfy. Cruise 27 kts @ 4500-4600rpm and the fuel is down to 60lph
Slow cruise of 24 kts 4200-4400 rpm and fuel is down to 50lph.
Not a bad fuel consumption In a fairly large and heavey boat I do a normal run of around 40-50nm offshore and troll all day and love the mercury verado it's so quiet And good on fuel. At 5 kts I use 3-3.5 lph so unbelievable fuel consumption at troll speed. If u require any info just drop me a message and I'll do what I can to help. Cheers Ian
