horsepower = speed

Hello, in need of information reguarding horse power = speed.  Have a 1978 or 79 233 cuddy inboard outboard, looking to repower. Currently have a 5.7 260 hp merc cruiser, looking to switch to a 383 stroker, 350 hp  merc cruiser.  How fast will the 233 go with the 383 stoker application and should i go with a bravo or volvo outdrive?

hi Bruce would a 200hp Volvo diesel stern drive  be suitable?? as i know a similar hull that has one which does 30 knots.

Probably looking at 50's.  Bravo is the way to go.
