Hi Kris

it realy depends on prefrence but as im going through this now i have chosen to cut the back and hang one from the transom. the reason is the boat rides totally diffrent more nose down with a pod and the big reason im not going a pod is i dont want to be reaching around the back of the boat to fish with an 8 foot + rod to get around the outboards.

As far as ally and glass goes..

Glass is twice the price thats it

Yeah I did want to go no pod with single 300, what motors are you running, I will just put a plat form on both sides of the outboard because I do a bit of spearing so easy to get back in
Hi kris if u want save the trouble of a rebuild mine is for sale and has already had all the hard work done. Hull extension works excellent with outboards.
Your boat is very nice mate but I got my mind set on a single outboard with a notched transome, was just seeing if pod made a huge difference

I havent made my mind up but it will be either 300hp or 250hp

Do you know how the 250 will push it along and at what fuel consumption

one of the guys has a verado 250 and it does 50knots and around 30lt/ph

there was a boat for sale in makay for 30K i think not that long ago it needed a good refurb and had twin merc sterndrives ill see if i can find his contact deails

There was only 2 grand difference in price from a yamaha 250 to a 300 and the both we're about the 250kg mark so I think I would go the 300

Yeah i think fuel consumption was the big diffrence

I was just talking talking to the mercury dealer here has has a 233 and he said he had any choice of engine and went with a 250 2 stroke

must have been an opti to say that
