LAPD investigator and head of the very famous BLACK DAHLIA MURDER CASE ,I found the 233 on Criagslist in the free section as officer Morgan's daughter wanted the boat
tobe taken off her property. Walter passed away last Sep 07 at the ripe age of 92 . Thats pretty cool not sure if I'll make it
but ?? As being a cop Walter took anal care of this boat until he couldn't physically . I think it sat untouched for at least
10 yrs at the top of this dirt lot with ivy growing over the trailer . It took my friend Jack and I two weekends and lots of dirty work to make it home . We first took her off the trailer on wooden blocks in the street to repair the rusty old trailer ( ruff job ) w/ rotten wooden pads and needed welding.
Where working on getting in the water asap ,w/67 Buick 300
v8 I'm having a hard time finding parts ( Exhaust manifolds )
etc ...Help and thanks Jack we will get this boat up n running for summer !!!!!Sailingary

Someone put a aluminum plate over the hole to fill it in and cut the hole for the volvo set up. twenty plus years ago when i started working on boats the guy i worked for at the time told me to never take a job with a omc stringer set up. I have never worked on one. Getting parts and talented help could be a problem. I assume you are in California. I would poke around you local marine repair shops and see if you can find a good used set up. No one made any offers on my restored ( yellow rc) boat but a couple were interested in my red f233. Five grand will take it. volvo penta 5.7 duel prop with fresh water cooling. I have bought good used marine engines for as little as 500 dollars. One mans trash can be anothers treasure.
