Hey everybody!! I intended to install an armstrong bracket and add twin 150hp's this summer to my '73 sportfisher CC, but twin 200hp's are a tempting option?? Just cut out and rebuilt the transome so it's rock solid. Anybody have any idea if the boat will take the extra weight and force issues??? Thanks Brian
Thanks for the response. I was wondering do you know the transom angle on the formula?? I think it's 11.5 degrees but mot sure?? You going with a single or twins??
Who is building your bracket?? There is a posting on thehulltruth.com of a boat "real memories" that the owner fitted a old bracket to the formula transom. I was going to see if Armstrong would custom make it for the boat with the off-set in the transom. The guy I spoke to there was familiar with the 233. What HP are you going with?? I would like to put 200's on the back of it and was thinking of glassing in another piece of 3/4 ply t the inside of the transom.
